Terms & Conditions – Ten Miles to Save My Life

By registering for and participating in Ten Miles to Save My Life, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
 

1. Participation

• This is an informal, community-led fundraising walk. It is not a professionally organised or marshalled event.

• All participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing throughout the walk.

• You must ensure you are physically capable of completing the distance (approximately 9.6 miles). If you have any health concerns, please consult your doctor before taking part.

2. Children

• Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

3. The Route

• The route has not been officially measured or risk-assessed. While referred to as “Ten Miles,” it is estimated to be around 9.6 miles.

• The walk takes place along public routes. You are responsible for following normal road safety and pedestrian rules, including using crossings where necessary.

4. Weather & Cancellations

• The event will go ahead in most weather conditions, but the organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event in the case of severe weather or any other unforeseen circumstances.

• If the event is cancelled, any registration donations will still be passed on to the charity.

5. Fundraising

• All funds raised will go to the Emergency Department at Derby Royal Hospital via the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity.

6. Liability

• The organiser cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by participants or their property before, during, or after the event.

• You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own actions, and agree not to hold the organiser liable for any personal injury or property damage.

• Your personal information will be used solely for the purpose of organising and communicating about the event. For more details, see the Privacy Policy.
